If you thought the Atomic Backland boots were awesome before, this is the year to be amazed all over again. The totally re-designed Atomic Backland Pro Alpine Touring Ski Boots feature a new minimalist polyamide shell and Boa Fit System that lets you adjust the fit of the lower boot on the fly with a twist of a dial. Standout features of the old Backland boots remain - the smooth and long-wearing Igus polymer cuff pivots and Free / Lock 4.0 walk mode have changed little, but they were dialed before. Key improvements include an even more comfortable liner and a beefier cinch type power strap.

Last: 98 mm – A narrow and low volume touring last.

Memory Fit – Advanced heat-fitting technology creates a fully personalized shell, cuff and liner in minutes. The key is Memolink, Atomic's special additive that improves the moldability and stretch of their plastics. Expansion can be up to 6mm forefoot width and up to 10mm ankle width, resulting in a permanent and complete anatomical fit in minutes. See your bootfitter for details.

Boa Fit System – Dial up or down to create your perfect fit - with a smooth, uniform closure - so you can put less energy into keeping your feet secure and more into keeping control. Push in to engage, turn to tighten or loosen and pull up the dial for a quick release.

Prolite – Instead of starting with a standard construction and cutting material away to save weight, Prolite does the opposite. It starts with the slimmest possible profile and then builds up reinforcements in key areas where strength is needed - like the Energy Backbone down each boot spine.

Energy Backbone – A reinforced, asymmetric backbone providing extra strength for powerful skiing plus enhanced lateral energy transmission for better edge grip.

True Flex – This Atomic-exclusive shell material provides the same flex in a wide variety of temperatures so your boot won't feel too stiff in the winter or lose power in the spring.
